We have heard a lot of wonderful things about the new Super Cub called the Mackey SQ2. It is being developed as a kit for homebuilders in the experimental category. While the complete kits are supplied as kits for homebuilders they may qualify possibly as kits for the new Light Sport Aircraft category. That will be answered soon. The kit for the Mackey Super Cub will supposedly include everything needed to build The Mackey SQ2 with engine options hopefully going up to at least 265HP.
Some people are speculating that the Mackey Super Cub will include all of the options for what is known as a quick build kit as well. It they can have you up and flying in record time, then this would be an extra. If anyone out there knows more about the Mackey super cub kit , then please don't hesitate to give us a call and let us know more about the Mackey super cub kit. We have heard that it really outperforms almost any other version of the Super Cub in slow flight tendencies on the market today.
Since the Mackey Super Cub Kit should be available on Floats as well as conventional gear, we are anxious to see it in action!
And a Mackey Super Cub Kit on skis should be a super performer.
Our ideal panel for a Mackey Super Cub would accept a wide selection of avionics and popular navigation gear.
I have yet to see a Mackey Super Cub in any popular color other than brown.
I feel certain that the Mackey Super Cub will be just as attractive as a traditional yellow cub. Perhaps even more so.
